It takes a lot of courage to attend a camp you've never been to
before. I hope this section will help answer your
questions and let you know what to expect.
Kamp Kinship is
located in the Black Hills which provides a great views and
crisp fresh air. There are three different styles of
cabins.
- Dorms house 12 or more in a main room
- Lodges have 3-6 rooms with a common lounge
area
- Cabins sleep around six and are clustered around
a fire-pit and a common shower house
We serve
three meals a day which are included as a part of
your registration fee. Kamp Kinship also runs a snack
shop which sells a variety of snacks. Kamp Kinship utilizes
a bank system to help keep camper's money safe.
Each night (weather permitting) will close with a
camp
fire before the campers prepare for their final cabin
connection/devotional and go off to sleep.
Recreation is a highlight of life at camp.
Activities
include zip line, climbing wall, low-ropes course,
basketball, volleyball, disc golf, kayaks/canoes, swimming,
hiking, and a variety of other creative games.
Not only do we have great food and exciting activities,
but we focus a great amount of energy on our relationship
with
Jesus Christ. These range from personal
interaction with adult leaders, personal and group
devotional times, and the evening service which includes
worship and a guest speaker.
For a better look at what to expect, you may want to
contact your local SDAG church to view a highlight DVD
from previous years.
There are some special helps located on the
downloads page to help you plan
for a successful camping season.
