There are a variety of positions to fill during a camp season,
however none is more important than the guides.
Guides are "gender models" who are a living example of
Christ to the campers. They lead in what they do and
mentor through time, conversation, and interaction.
In the event you would like to serve the SDAG Summer Camp and your church has
filled all their guide positions, or you are qualified to serve
in another location, please consider the following options:

lifeguards are provided meals during their time on duty and
provided a $25.00 per day fuel allowance upon request.
Application process remains the same as other resident staff.

To apply for a staff
position at the SDAG Camps please contact your
local church for
their standard volunteer screening/application process. If
you are serving in one of the support staff roles you will still
need to be approved and screened through the local church.
Your church will communicate with you regarding your
acceptance and final placement.
We do not charge staff to come and serve during the SDAG
Summer Camps. However, if you would like to cover your
camp expenses in order to be a blessing to the camping program,
we pay approximately $85.00 per staff person per week.
Your generosity is appreciated.

In order to help newer staff acclimate quicker to the camp
and their role we've developed a "riveting" series of videos.
View the
video training series prior to arriving in order to help you
hit the ground running!
You may find this resource helpful before you apply as a
Guide, however we strongly recommend watching this series prior
to arrival at camp.

ask.
